CDM, Safety and Building Assurance
Safer projects. Better buildings. Clearer decisions.
Elevate Everywhere provides practical construction, safety and building assurance services for new developments, refurbishment programmes and existing buildings. Our services bring together CDM advice, Principal Designer appointments, Fire Risk Assessments, Clerk of Works services, Access Audits and surveying support. Clients can appoint us for a specific requirement or combine several services within one coordinated scope.
How we support your projects and buildings
-
We help commercial clients understand and manage their responsibilities under the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015.
Our support can include:
• Advice on CDM responsibilities and project arrangements
• Support with dutyholder appointments
• Reviews of dutyholder competence and resources
• Coordination of preconstruction information
• Support with F10 notifications where required
• Review of Construction Phase Plans
• Attendance at design and progress meetings
• Site observations and client reporting
• Review of the Health and Safety File
Commercial clients retain their legal responsibilities under CDM 2015. Elevate provides the practical advice, oversight and evidence needed to help clients manage these responsibilities effectively.
-
Elevate can act as Principal Designer under CDM 2015 on projects involving, or likely to involve, more than one contractor.
We plan, manage, monitor and coordinate health and safety during the preconstruction phase. Our team works with clients, designers and contractors to identify foreseeable risks and ensure important information is communicated throughout the project.
Our service can include:
• Preconstruction information
• Design risk registers
• Design risk reviews
• Coordination between designers
• Attendance at project meetings
• Liaison with the Principal Contractor
• Monitoring of design changes
• Client progress reporting
• Preparation and coordination of the Health and Safety File
-
DescriptionClients can appoint Elevate to provide both Client CDM Advisory and Principal Designer services.
This creates a single point of contact for CDM advice, design risk management, project information and reporting.
Our combined approach provides continuity from initial planning and design through construction, completion and handover. The scope and responsibilities of each party are clearly established at the start of the appointment. text goes here
-
We provide Fire Risk Assessments at intermediate level, with the scope of each assessment agreed before appointment.
Our assessments help clients identify fire hazards, understand who may be at risk and review the measures in place to protect building users.
We provide clear findings and practical actions, including identifying where further specialist investigation or advice may be required.
The responsible person remains accountable for ensuring that a suitable Fire Risk Assessment is completed, reviewed and recorded.
-
Our Clerk of Works service provides clients with independent inspection and reporting during construction.
We observe the quality of work and help clients identify defects, incomplete work and areas that may not meet the agreed design or specification.
Our reporting provides the client and project team with clear evidence of findings and actions requiring attention.
The level and frequency of inspection are agreed according to the project scope, programme and client requirements.
-
We provide Access Audits and practical advice to help clients understand how accessible their buildings are for the people who use them.
Our service considers potential barriers affecting how people approach, enter, move through and use a building.
We provide clear observations and recommendations that can inform building improvements, refurbishment planning and decisions regarding reasonable adjustments.
The Equality Act 2010 places duties on relevant organisations to consider and make reasonable adjustments for disabled people.
-
Elevate provides surveying support for construction projects and existing buildings.
The type of survey, extent of inspection and reporting requirements are agreed with the client before appointment. This ensures that the service reflects the building, the purpose of the survey and the decisions the client needs to make.
Our surveying services can be commissioned independently or coordinated with our CDM, Clerk of Works, access and wider building assurance services.
-
Decisions made during design can affect safety throughout construction, operation, maintenance and future refurbishment.
We work with clients, designers and contractors to identify foreseeable risks while there is still an opportunity to eliminate or reduce them.
Our approach focuses on significant risks and practical decisions rather than unnecessary documentation.
